Artist Profile: Ajay Patil

The penultimate in my series of Artist Profiles is Ajay Patil. An IT engineer, who calls himself a 'weekend painter', but he has held 3 shows already! Ajay mostly prefers plein air watercolours as his medium.

Look at how he has captured the earthy colours and the vivacity of the scene.

Ink on Paper

And finally his favourite- water colours!

If you loved the sneak peek into Ajay's paintings you can check out more of it on his website and blog.

Padmaja, profiled here earlier and Ajay are both members of a wonderful blog of Indian painters called 'Artists of India'.

Just so beautiful!!! Thanks Diwya for sharing.
Ajay - your paintings are simply beautiful! Loved the Lady in Navari, the men wearing the Topi...and the one with Bells hung. You can actually hear the bells making their melodious music.

Oh Divya, so awesome. Watercolors are my absolute nemesis and to be able to create paintings like this is really amazing. The one with the bells....absolutely love it!

@Kamini- I know what you mean- I colour within lines even for watercolours and make a mess of them usually :)

@Shanthi- The comments section is moderated, which is why you couldn't see your comments up immediately. I tried emailing you to let you know but got a message saying your blogger profile is restricted. Thanks for dropping by SHP- and hope to see you here often!
